What to Bring to The Outer Banks

Below are some items that will help you make the most of your trip to the Outer Banks.  These are items that could save a trip to the store to maximize your vacation time, or to add to your grocery list once you get here. We give you a starter pack with some necessities, but unlike hotels there’s no turn down service so disposable items are not provided or refreshed.

  • Sunscreen

  • Toilet paper

  • Toiletries such as hand soaps, lotions and shower necessities.

  • Clothing detergent and dryer sheets

  • Additional pillow cases

  • Hair dryer

  • Clothes hangers

  • Paper towels

  • Beach gear such as chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach blankets, beach towels.

  • If you’re bringing babies or young children remember to pack crib bedding, beach toys and floaties.

  • Bicycles

  • Fishing gear

If you plan on cooking while you stay here are some helpful things to remember.

  • Trash bags

  • Dish soap, and dish washer soap

  • Coffee filters

  • Aluminum Foil & Plastic Wrap

  • Charcoal (for Charcoal Grills)

  • Grill tools

  • Reusable Grocery bags

If you bring a pet here are some essentials, and remember if you’re hot they’re hot, make sure they have shade on the beach and don't burn their paws on the roads or in the hot sand.

  • Food and water bowls

  • Pick up bags

  • Leash and harness or collar

  • Toys that float

  • Towels you don't mind using on wet animals
